Jaipur
This particular work, as the name suggests, is inspired from the ‘Jharokas’. Of Jaipur. Historically speaking ‘Jharoka’ (A window or niche) is an integral feature of Rajput and Mughal architecture. These ornamental windows were made on the upper floors of the buildings and decorated with minakari, stone carving, woodwork amongst various other crafts to enhance their beauty. Our interpretation is however more focused on its aesthetic value than functionality. A ‘Jharoka’ has been reimagined to serve the purpose of a wall hanging. This exquisitely hand-crafted work instantly takes center stage in any living space. It has been designed in a way that it evokes curiosity as it invites a viewer to come and explore the intricate details its adorned with. Despite being inspired from royal architecture, ‘Jaipur’ subtly denotes modernistic charm through its bold and eccentric design making it congruous with any modern home. ‘Jaipur’ is a labour of love. Fine craftsmanship and artisanal details make it a collectible modern heirloom.
